You’ll need a car, as the village is rural and wonderfully peaceful — shops, markets and vineyards are a short drive away.
The property isn’t suitable for wheelchair users, as the historic layout includes steps, terraces and uneven ground.
There’s no nightlife in the valley, so evenings here are about long dinners, stargazing and quiet time by the river.
