The Miller’s Cottage is down the drive on the opposite side of the valley to the Moulin. It sits on Le Moulin’s land which extends to the top of the valley ridge behind it. It is extremely peaceful with wonderful views back to the main houses and across the Célé valley.
It is totally self-sufficient with its own kitchen, dining and relaxing area. There is a small wood burner in the fire place for cosy evenings.
Upstairs there are two (3ft) beds that can be joined to make a large double bed. There is also an en-suite WC and shower. Windows in front of the bed look west across the valley.
There is a terrace running down the side of the cottage with outside tables and chairs. As the cottage is the last spot to get the evening sun on the property, the terrace is the perfect spot for the cottage guests to invite the main house up for sun downers.
The organic vegetable farm shop is a stone’s throw up the road to Brengues. It has a fantastic selection of the most wonderful, fresh local vegetables.
Turn right out of the drive, carry on a mile, do not take the first right across the bridge to Cajarc, carry on up the road another half mile and you will see a hamlet on your left. Drive up into the hamlet and park, there’s usually someone around.
The house has a plenty of information on things to do in the local area. This is in a basket under the table as you go into the main house.
It includes local restaurants (in various price ranges), shops, markets, antique/bric-à-brac emporia, fairs and festivals, museums, medieval villages, towns and castles, as well as cultural and sporting activities of all kinds in the surrounding area.
